Uncovering Chinese Railroad Workers’ Experience in Utah through Archaeology
This event is designed for Chinese Bridge students who are currently enrolled in the CHIN 3117 course, which is offered by six public universities and conducted in 29 high schools across Utah. The event agenda includes a campus tour, a warm welcome from our sponsors, and an engaging interactive lecture centered around the history of Chinese Railroad Workers in Utah during the 1860s. Following the lecture, we have scheduled a stimulating panel discussion, featuring an archaeologist, descendants of Chinese railroad workers, and a Broadway musical composer.

The 2022 Spanish Bridge Program Short Film Contest was held, with students from four high schools receiving top awards.

Le Monde Visits Brighton High School French Bridge Program
Mme Jessica Gourdon, journalist from Le Monde, came to Brighton High School and attend an excellent French Bridge course co-taught by Claire Tocaven (University of Utah) and Marianne Sheranian (Brighton High School).

Kate Cabrera Martinez, Recipient of a Utah Jazz Scholarship, Chooses to Attend the University of Utah
Kate Cabrera Martinez, Ben Lomond High School Spanish Bridge student, is a recipient of a Jazz scholarship for full tuition and fees for four years to attend college, as a first generation student, based on merit and need. Kate has chosen to use it to attend the University of Utah!
