About the Video Library

The videos hosted here exemplify best practices in dual language immersion teaching in K-12 classrooms and are designed to support both immersion and world language educators. The video repository is divided into two sections:

  • Grades K-9 videos illustrate the Utah Core DLI Instructional Strategies;
  • Grades 10-12 videos demonstrate effective teaching in courses designed to move students who have passed the AP exam into Advanced levels of proficiency.

Videos are drawn from classrooms representing all six of Utah’s immersion languages: Chinese, French, German, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. All videos are accompanied by explanatory materials that make them accessible and valuable for all teachers regardless of language.

For access to the video library, using an official K12 or university email address, Request Educator Access.
