2021 PROJECT-BASED Language Learning Workshop

Are you a language teacher interested in learning about Project-Based Language Learning (PBLL) and how to integrate projects into your teaching? The University of Utah’s Second Language Teaching and Research Center is offering an in-person summer workshop on PBLL on June 10-11, 2021.

Dates: Thursday, June 10, 2021 and Friday, June 11, 2021.

Schedule:

  • Morning session from 9am - 12pm
  • Lunch break from 12pm - 1pm. 
  • Afternoon session from 1pm - 3pm

This workshop follows the definition of PBLL proposed by The National Foreign Language Resource Center (University of Hawaii, Manoa) as “a transformative learning experience designed to engage language learners with real-world issues and meaningful target language use through the construction of products that have an authentic purpose and that are shared with an audience that extends beyond the instructional setting."
