STARTALK Russian Summer Teacher Training

The Utah State Office of Education is pleased to announce a STARTALK Russian Summer Teacher Training and Student Camp for the summer of 2015. Currently we are seeking potential Russian teachers to participate in the training and to teach our students. The Teacher Training is a residential program (room and board are provided) in Utah, and teaching the Student Camps is compensated by a stipend. The goal of the student program is to provide a jump start for students entering a Russian Dual Language Immersion school in the future. To apply, click on the link HERE.

The teacher training residential program runs from July 6-9. The program is residential; participants spend the nights of July 7, 8, and 9 on site.
The student camps are day programs and will run July 13-23.

STARTALK is a Department of Defense grant to develop critical language programs across the country. In the past, USOE has offered Portuguese and Chinese programs, but only Portuguese and Russian this summer. For more information about STARTALK, please visit https://startalk.umd.edu
