2022 Workshop Information is Coming Soon

The Summer Language Teacher Workshops are university content workshops, taught in the target language, for all K-12 language teachers. Workshops are designed for adults to engage in deeper cultural learning and in language practice. 

 

Participants will read, analyze, and discuss various texts, film and artistic expression, and discuss ways to help students access and analyze ideas presented through these sources. Participants will explore ways to connect their students to cultural and community projects.

SPANISH TEACHER WORKSHOP

Isabel Dulfano, PhD (Professor of Spanish, University of Utah) will teach the first two days, and focus on literary analysis of essays, in various contemporary and classical forms.

Maria Luisa Spicer-Escalante, PhD (Professor of Spanish and Linguistics, Utah State University) will teach will teach Lesson Planning: Moving from a Teacher-Centered to Learner-Centered Classroom.   

 

 

The workshops will take place remotely, still allowing collaboration and oral communication among all participants.
